The Salt Pig has opened The Artful Salt Pig at Lighthouse, Poole, marking an exciting new collaboration between two well-established Dorset names.
The new venture was officially celebrated with a launch party on Monday 28th September, bringing together suppliers, loyal customers, friends, Lighthouse trustees and members of the senior management team.
The Salt Pig is a Purbeck food and farming business with cafés, a restaurant, farm shops and butchery, alongside farm activities, seasonal camping and outdoor catering. Now James and Becky, the owners and driving force behind The Salt Pig, are bringing their passion for good, locally sourced food to a whole new audience in Poole.
There was a real buzz around the launch, but one thing in particular stood out, the genuine excitement about the collaboration between The Salt Pig and Lighthouse, and the possibilities it brings.
At a time when hospitality and many of our local towns continue to face challenges, it was refreshing to see so much positivity, enthusiasm and support for a new local venture.
A fantastic next chapter for The Salt Pig, and great to see it taking shape at Lighthouse in the heart of Poole.

Sunday & Monday 9am – 4pm (extended cafe hours for evening performances too).
Tuesday to Saturday 9am – 9pm.
