The Salt Pig has become a much loved destination, with fresh fish and meat from the butchery. Everything we do reflects our core values: local produce, generous portions and a friendly service.

To make exceptional, sustainably produced local food accessible and affordable, while celebrating the diverse farming community found right on our doorstep. The Salt Pig connects customers with the flavours, stories, and traditions that define our unique corner of Dorset.
With indoor and outdoor seating you can watch the world go by!
The menu changes daily but our loved quiches and sausage rolls are always on the menu among other hearty homemade food.
With a relaxed vibe, cafe style food made daily using the same ingredients sold within the shop and butchery.
Whilst you are in Wareham take a walk around the Wareham Saxon Walls or along the river path or buy a take away from us to picnic at the beautiful Quay.
There is also Wareham Boat Hire, where you can hire boats, SUPs, kayaks or take a boat trip. Watch a film at the beautiful Rex Cinema dating back to 1889. There are also lots of festivals throughout the year – enjoy Wareham Carnival, Wareham Beerex or the legendary Wareham Father Christmas Parade to name but a few.
