Our restaurants and Urban Cafe serve food from the local Purbeck area only. It's all about the provenance and we believe that great food can come from your doorstep. Our butchery team and chefs take time and care over your food to bring home the flavours that the Isle Of Purbeck offers bringing an element of creativity as our produce changes daily.

- The Salt Pig | Wareham
The Salt Pig opened its doors for the first time in 2010 in the Saxon town of Wareham. James started the cafe with a state of the art coffee machine, offering the first cappuccino to the small Purbeck town. From there, The Salt Pigs Deep Pan Vegetable Quiches caught wind, becoming increasingly popular to local residents across Purbeck & Dorset. Our butchery followed, with James sourcing meat and fish from across Purbeck, including: White Park Beef from Wytch Farm, Lamb from Steeple Leaze as well as James cross breeding our rare breed Mangalitsa x Berkshire pigs and our fish coming from Kimmeridge Bay & Poole Bay. Soon The Salt Pig gained national traction and the demand for Purbeck Produce increased.
The Salt Pig Too | Swanage
In 2018 The Salt Pig opened its door to its second home - The Salt Pig Too - in the seaside town of Swanage. With an eye for design, James took over a former bakery and kitted it out with a rustic wooden interior, keeping some of the trendy assets from the previous bakery, including an 1800's bread oven. The Salt Pig Too specialises with its evening menu, offering a wide range of authentic dishes using Purbeck Produce and being cooked in our Charcoal Oven, essentially an indoor BBQ using Dorset Charcoal to increase local flavour. With fabulous service, splendid atmosphere and superb food & drink, The Salt Pig Too is quickly becoming one of the most go to restaurants in not only Purbeck but also the county. Swanage is able to seat 50 guests and is a stone's throw away from the Swanage beach. The restaurant receives fresh fish and shellfish from our local fisherman on a daily basis. All of our meat is local and of the highest quality. We take booking for evening service and our taste of Purbeck Sunday Roast however, we only take walk-ins for breakfast and lunch.
Wareham is situated on the High Street of the picturesque town. The restaurant can seat up to 18 guests which offer exceptional food prepared by our brilliant chefs. We only take walk ins however we do take bookings for our taste of Purbeck Sunday Roast. We currently don't open for evenings in Wareham.
